I've come across some old photos from the very first build of Me, Myself & Die: the original game jam project.
It's interesting now to look back at how it started out, and compare that to where the game is now – a completely different theme and art style, a bunch of new and altered mechanics, and with a very different level design philosophy, but still recognisably the same game.
So, check out these level screenshots from the buggy game jam project that started it all!
These are beginning to sound like bad movie titles.
Anyway, production has slowed somewhat. David's done some great work, but he's returned for his third year of classes now and so won't be working much more on the project. I've got a bunch of work, including another season of The Chase, which has significantly reduced the time I can spend working on Sheer. My projection for Sheer would be that we should finish it in four months from now, but that's very up in the air depending on life things. Could be sooner, could be later.
At the moment, I'm rebuilding a bunch of architecture from the first version to work with our new and improved navpoint system, which is causing way fewer bugs than the quick-and-dirty first implementation!
